Your repairs are protected. Here is what is covered, how to make a claim and what to know before your repair.
Effective for new repairs from 2 November 2026. Earlier agreed warranties remain honoured.
Coverage at a glance
Our repair warranty applies to parts and services paid for and supplied by iFix Apple. It covers manufacturing faults in the repaired or replaced parts, subject to inspection and the conditions below. The period starts when the repair is completed.
For a repair not listed above, including iPad and Apple Watch screen repairs, please contact us to confirm its warranty before booking. These warranty periods do not limit your Australian Consumer Law rights.
These terms apply to repair services agreed between iFix Apple and you, the customer. Please read them before authorising work. The terms agreed when you book or authorise your repair apply to that repair. We may update these terms for future work; updates do not remove existing warranty promises or rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Contact us before arranging postage. If the fault is covered by Australian Consumer Law, reasonable return costs will be reimbursed; send us the receipt to claim those costs. Any other inspection, transport or repair charges must be discussed and agreed before they are incurred. A supplier’s assessment does not remove your right to seek a remedy from iFix Apple.
Our voluntary repair warranty does not cover water-damaged devices. Previous liquid exposure can cause progressive corrosion and unpredictable failures, including after parts have been replaced. Your non-excludable consumer rights still apply.
Water resistance cannot be guaranteed after a repair. Do not rely on the device’s original IP rating or expose it to water after repair.
Severe damage, including motherboard damage or a heavy impact, can make a device unstable. Diagnostics or attempted repair may reveal further faults, and the device may fail to power on. We will discuss known risks before work proceeds. This does not exclude our obligation to provide services with due care and skill.
Some Apple components are paired to the device’s motherboard. Replacing a Home button on models such as iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone SE and iPad 6–9 may leave the button function working but affect Touch ID. Front-camera or sensor repairs may also affect Face ID. Ask us to explain the expected outcome and any pairing or calibration limitations for your specific device before authorising the repair.
The voluntary warranty is for manufacturing faults, not damage or unrelated problems. The following exclusions do not remove any rights or remedies you have under Australian Consumer Law:
Back up your data before repair. Testing, software work and repairs can result in data loss. We cannot promise that data will be preserved. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We will notify you when your device is ready. Please collect it promptly or contact us to agree on collection arrangements. If it remains uncollected after 60 days, we may contact you again about collection.
A device is not automatically forfeited or disposed of after 60 days. Any sale or disposal will follow Queensland’s applicable uncollected-goods requirements, including the required waiting period, notices and disposal procedure. The Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1967 generally provides a six-month period after goods are ready for collection. Read Queensland’s uncollected-goods guidance.
iFix Apple may need access to your device and relevant personal information to perform the repair and test the result. Please discuss any privacy concerns or access restrictions with us before leaving your device. Back up your data and remove information that is not needed for repair where practical.
Information needed to provide the service may be handled by technicians or service providers involved in your repair. Personal information may also be disclosed where required by law. Do not send passwords or payment-card details through website chat.
The benefits of our warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law. Those rights may continue beyond the warranty periods listed above.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.
If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
